The GUC is excited to offer professional development short courses led by our dynamic facilitator, Jill McCrum from JEM Training.

Cost: $550 (including GST) per person, which includes morning tea, lunch, and a certificate of completion.

Thursday 27th August –  Managing Change

Change is a normal part of life, but different people respond to it in different ways at different times. This program explores the change cycle and provides practical tools for helping you and your team members handle it more effectively.

We will explore the 7 C’s of managing change – clarity, control, communication, coping, connection, challenge and commitment. By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:

• Understand why change can be so challenging.
• Appreciate the change cycle and the benefits of change.
• Focus on the things they can control to reduce negative emotions.
• Use coping tools to frame the change differently.
• Communicate fears, feedback and failures constructively.
• Challenge themselves to adopt a growth mindset.
• Commit to small actions to progress along the change curve.
