Orientation

Orientation is first and foremost a chance to meet fellow students, but it is also an opportunity to familiarise yourself with the GUC, our staff, and our facilities.

You’ll familiarise yourself with online platforms, attend academic workshops, and learn the skills you need to succeed as a university student.

For a comprehensive guide to GUC student services, facilities, and emergency management information, please see the GUC Student Handbook.

IN PREPARATION FOR ORIENTATION, please complete the following tasks:

The Geraldton Universities Centre (GUC) is part of the Commonwealth Department of Education’s Regional University Study Hub Program.  As part of the program, GUC is required to report student statistics to the Department.  Please complete this quick survey.

As a GUC-supported student, you will receive a student card. This card provides you access to the GUC 24/7 study hall and connects you to the student photocopier. Additionally, you can borrow a laptop if needed.

Please complete the GUC Student Card, Laptop, and Photocopying Agreement.

If you are a student in Nursing, Education, or Social Work, you will need a GUC name badge for your clinical or practicum placements. Please use the form below to order your name badge.

Please note that payment must be received before we place your order.

As a GUC student, you are part of our GUC community.

We value community, partnerships, aspiration, equity and excellence as reflected in our Student Charter.
