To access and use GUC facilities and services, students must read and accept the following Terms & Conditions.
Student Card Access
Students are responsible for the security and use of their student access card.
By accepting this agreement, the student acknowledges that they:
- Will not lend, share, or allow another person to use their student card to access GUC facilities, including the 24/7 Study Hall.
- Will notify GUC as soon as possible if their student card is lost, stolen, or damaged so appropriate security measures can be taken and a replacement card arranged.
Laptop and Wi-Fi Use
Students who borrow GUC equipment or access GUC Wi-Fi agree to:
- Take reasonable care of any GUC laptop issued to them.
- Be responsible for any loss of or damage to a GUC laptop while it is in their care and reimburse GUC for reasonable replacement or repair costs where applicable.
- Return borrowed equipment to GUC staff or the designated return location as required.
- Use GUC laptops and Wi-Fi primarily for study-related purposes.
- Refrain from using GUC equipment or internet services for commercial activities, accessing inappropriate content, or downloading large files unrelated to their studies.
24/7 Study Hall
Students using the Study Hall agree to:
- Respect the rights of other students by maintaining a quiet and considerate study environment.
- Keep personal belongings and study materials within their designated study space.
- Leave shared facilities, including study and kitchen areas, clean and tidy.
- Clean up after themselves, including washing and putting away any dishes used.
- Leave facilities in the same condition in which they were found.
Library Resources
Students borrowing library resources agree to:
- Accept responsibility for all borrowed items while they are in their care.
- Reimburse GUC for reasonable replacement or repair costs for any lost or damaged items.
- Follow the approved borrowing procedure before removing library materials from the Study Hall.
- Return borrowed resources within the required loan period.
Electronic Acknowledgement
By ticking this box, the student:
- Confirms that they have read and understood the conditions outlined in this agreement.
- Agrees to comply with all requirements relating to the use of GUC facilities, equipment, services, and resources.
- Understands that failure to comply with these conditions may result in the suspension or withdrawal of access to GUC facilities and services.
