Orientation

Orientation is a process of becoming familiar with the physical surrounds, and the services and support available to you at the GUC.   Knowing what’s ahead and where to gather information at GUC will get you off to a flying start.

Orientation usually occurs the week before classes start. It is your chance to find your way around the Centre and to get an idea of what will be expected of you over the next three or four years. During Orientation, Academic staff will do an overview of your course, you will meet the GUC admin staff and get to know what facilities and services are available to you.  You will also get the opportunity to attend a Library and IT session, a campus tour and academic skills workshops.  Orientation is also a  good opportunity to meet your fellow students.
