Welcome to Geraldton Universities Centre (GUC). The GUC was established in
2002 and allows people in the Mid West of Western Australia to live, work and
study locally. Almost 150 people have graduated from university degree
courses in Geraldton since our
inception, the majority now working as teachers and nurses in regional WA.
Mission
The Geraldton Universities Centre's objective is to
facilitate, deliver,
promote and provide access to university education for people residing in the Mid West.
We are the first point of contact for Mid West people seeking information on
university study.
The GUC is neither a university nor a campus of a university. Rather,
we are an independent, not-for-profit, incorporated body, supporting and
delivering university courses in Geraldton on behalf of metropolitan based
universities.
Hollomby Foundation
The GUC launched the philanthropic Hollomby Foundation on July 22, 2010.
Named in honour of the "Shortbread Man" Joe Hollomby, the Foundation aims to
raise more than $1million over three years to support Mid West students.
